We actually make this pretty painless.

Start with Artisan-CNC software....
A wise choice, since this will be the heart of your system. The most popular level for serious operators is "Artisan-CNC". A lower cost entry-level version is also available, called "CNC-Pro".

...then get your PC ready.
You'll want a Pentium PC for Artisan. For less-demanding CNC-Pro systems, a 66 to 100mhz 486 is fine. The PC must be dedicated as a control and put near the machine. We can supply you with the right PC with Artisan already installed on it! Pretty easy so far, right? Now, on to the hardware...

Select the right Motors....
It never pays to skimp on motors, so we use only the best, made to our specs by Pacific Scientific. Our system drives anything from 50oz-in to 5,000 oz-in, and we carry them all.

Cables?  Don't worry!  We'll take care of all that stuff for you.
We provide all the cables you'll need, pre-wired and ready to just plug in. And better still, almost all of them are included at no charge with your system. If you do need special lengths, you can get those too.

Add a matching PowerSystem.
This 'black box' integrates all the fancy power electronics that make your motors spin. We have two sizes which cover almost any machine tool. Full size machines use the 12amp system and small machines and light-duty gantries use the 6amp unit.

All you have to do is...
To save $7,000 to $20,000, you do have to do a little bit yourself! Because the machine is at your place, and because every machine is different, it's your job to mount the motors. Heck, that's not so bad. You're a hot precision machinist, right? Piece of cake!
